Membership Descriptions
Full Membership:

Description: A full membership in GEFSC includes a membership, without limitation, with US Figure Skating and the designation of the Greater Evansville Figure Skating Club as the skater’s home club. A parent membership is required if the skater is under 18 years old and is available at the subsequent member cost. Other family members who reside in the same home may join as subsequent members as well.

Volunteer Requirements: 12 volunteer hours (8 of which must be at the Fall Festival; hourly club credits will be awarded after the first 4 hours)

Adult Only Full Membership (NEW):

Description: This membership is open to skaters who wish to purchase a full membership and are 18 years of age and older. Subsequent family members may not be added to this membership.

Volunteer Requirements: 6 volunteer hours (4 of which must at the Fall Festival; hourly club credits will be awarded after the first 2 hours)

Introductory Membership:

Description: This membership is open to individuals who have never held a full membership with USFS and includes a one-time discounted membership cost. This class includes membership, without limitation, in USFS; and the Greater Evansville Figure Skating Club will be designated as the skater’s home club. A parent membership is required if the skater is under 18 years old, which is available at the subsequent member cost.

Subsequent Family Membership:

Description: Additional family members within the same household may be added to a Full or Introductory membership. Subsequent family members, including parents, will receive the same benefits as Full Members.

Volunteer Requirements: No additional volunteer hours are required for subsequent family members.

Cost: $50 per additional family member (Parent members must do background check and Skatesafe training, which include fees of approximately $30 to cover a two-year period)
Aspire Membership:

Description: Open to skaters who are transitioning from learn-to-skate to higher levels of practice, testing and competing. This class of membership provides the skater with a USFS Aspire membership within GEFSC. Parent membership is not required.

Volunteer Requirements: No volunteer requirement but volunteering is encouraged. Hourly club credits may be earned from Fall Festival volunteer hours after a 2 hour shift is completed. Percentage payout may be different from other classes of membership.

Associate Membership:

Description: This class of membership is open to skaters who maintain US Figure Skating full membership through another member club. This class is not available to USFS individual members. Parent membership is not required.

Volunteer Requirements: No volunteer requirements.

*Per USFS rules, skaters may take through the first level of testing in skating skills, singles and dance and may compete at the Aspire through Preliminary levels with this membership.

Specialty Memberships
Coach Membership:

Description: This class of membership is offered to professionals, 18 years of age or older, who meet the USFS coaching and SkateSafe requirements, wish to represent GEFSC, are committed to the mission of the Club and are approved by the Board of Directors.
Official Membership:

Description: This membership is provided to those members who are qualified to judge at USFS events, wish to represent GEFSC, are committed to the mission of the club, and are approved by the Board of Directors.
Collegiate Membership:
-
Description: This class of membership is designed to maintain a skater’s connection to GEFSC after they enter college by providing the benefits of club membership at a significantly discounted cost. Collegiate members must be enrolled at an accredited two or four-year institution at the time of registration for this membership. The skater will receive membership in USFS with GEFSC designation for their home club for a consecutive four-year period. Collegiate members will receive all the benefits of full membership.
Sponsor/Friend of GEFSC Membership:

Description: This membership is for individuals who have an active interest in the mission of GEFSC but are not active skaters. This class does not normally provide for a membership with USFS but a USFS membership may be provided in certain circumstances.

Learn to Skate Membership
Learn-to-Skate Membership:

Description: This membership is required for individuals who are enrolled in GEFSC’s learn-to-skate classes which operates under Greater Evansville FSC Learn to Skate and includes membership in U.S. Figure Skating’s nationally recognized Learn-to-Skate USA program. Skaters with this membership may participate in learn-to-skate classes, the Christmas show, and competitions at certain beginner levels.

Volunteer Requirements: No volunteer requirement but volunteering is encouraged. Hourly club credits to be used for the annual Christmas show or Southern Indiana Ice Classic may be earned from Fall Festival volunteer hours after a 2 hour shift is completed. Percentage payout may be different from other classes of membership.
