About

Seminar Details:

Kelly Hobbs, a mental performance coach, triple gold medalist, and accredited master coach, will present a seminar on overcoming performance anxiety.

The term performance anxiety gets thrown around a lot. Kelly will help athletes understand WHY there are physiological responses (and normalize them), how to name the emotion to tame it, and how pregame routines truly impact performance. Since every athlete is different, no two skaters' strategies will be identical. She will teach them grounding exercises, breathwork, and ways to help them focus on the present moment. With the parent group, Kelly will break down the competition pre-game process and how to best support their athlete leading into events, including guided questions parents can use to support their athletes.
