Christmas Show Registration

The club would like to encourage all of its members to celebrate their skating skills and holiday spirit by participating in our annual Christmas show.  It is a great opportunity for your skater to gain new friendships and showcase their hard work from the previous season.

Below you will find the practice, rehearsal, and show times.  Please be aware that additional practices may be arranged by the director or the coach choreographing your number if necessary.  Out of respect to the group skaters/coach please make every effort to attend each practice time.  If you have a schedule conflict, please let me know before signing up.

GROUP SELECTIONS

Soloists must have passed their Bronze Singles/Juvenile Free Skate Test with a minimum of at least two double jumps performed.  If you meet the soloist eligibility requirements and do not wish to participate in a solo, please let us know in advance. More information regarding a possible soloist casting call will be released once all registrations  have been accepted.  If additional step outs, character roles, etc. are needed the instructors will collectively choose skaters to fill those positions.  Duets, Trios, and small group numbers will be appropriately divided by the GEFSC instructors.  Learn to Skate members will be placed in group/groups based on age/level to the best of our ability.  Additionally, graduating seniors may be recognized with a solo performance and/or a senior number  at the discretion of the skating director.  

Opening Number

Any skaters above the Preliminary Skating Skills Test  (must also be  able to perform a single loop jump) will be eligible to participate in the opening number this year.  There is additional cost and practice for the opening number.  Opening number practice is tbd based on registrations.  Information regarding the opening number will be emailed out accordingly.  Additional opening number rehearsal will take place on dress rehearsal night as usual. 

Cost To Participate

This year there are two options for payment:

(All fees cover the following expenses:  Entry Fee, Costume(s), Ice Time, and Coaching)

• Cost $130.00 

($130.00 due by Thursday, October 19th, 2023)

• Cost $160.00

($80.00 due Thursday, October 19th, 2023; Second payment of $80.00 due November 1st, 2023)

*Opening number will have an additional fee for costuming.  

REGARDING SIBLINGS OR FAMILY MEMBERS: IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU REGISTER EACH SKATER SEPARATELY IF POSSIBLE (format for registration requires only one registration form to be filled out per transaction to avoid any confusion).

SUPPORT/HAPPY ADS

Our show program is handed out to each family.  Do you want to wish your skater good luck in their first show, remember their 5th year of skating, honor their senior year, or advertise your favorite business?  The program is printed in color.  Please consider purchasing a good luck ad that will be placed in the Christmas show program!

REGISTRATIONS DEADLINE

Please have your registrations submitted no later than 11:59pm Thursday  October 19th, 2023. If you would like to pay via cash, check or club credit please fill a registration form out and place it with your payment in the club mailbox located in the office hallway at Swonder Ice Arena no later than Thursday October 19th, 2023. All forms are available on the club bulletin board located in front of the entrance to the East rink.
