About
Join us on Saturday, January 10th to try skating for free as part of National Skating Month! We invite members of the community from age 3 through adults who have not taken skating lessons before to give it a try. Advance registration is required.
Date and Time
Saturday, January 10th from 2-3:30 PM
Skaters will participate in a 15-minute group lesson led by one of our instructors between 2:00 and 2:45 PM. We will also have free skating time from 2:45-3:30 PM for everyone who participated in a group lesson.
Details
Rental skates are available at no cost for this event.
We recommend wearing long (not ankle) socks, gloves, and a helmet, but they are not required. It is best to wear layers that will keep you warm, but not prevent you from moving around freely.
The event will be held at Swonder Ice Arena. Participation in this event does not allow you to skate for free on Swonder's public session that will be taking place on the other ice surface. We will offer free skating time at the end of the event, from 2:45-3:30 PM.
Each person in your party will need their own registration/ticket.
All participants must sign a waiver and photo release during registration.
