Summer Skate Camp: Basic Skills & Aspire

Join us to improve your skating and have some fun this summer! We will host Basic Skills Skate Camp & Aspire Skate Camp the week of July 6th-10th from 12-4 PM each day. Program Dates & Times: July 6th-10th (Monday-Friday) from 12-4 PM

Skater Level & Age Requirements:

*All skaters must be age 3 or older

**The Basic Skills and Aspire Camps will have some overlapping programming and ice time, but will also have some separate classes and programming throughout the week. If you're unsure which camp is right for your skater, please reach out to Grace (learntoskate@gefsc.com) or discuss with your private lesson coach, if you have one.

Basic Skills Skate Camp: Skaters in Basic 2 and up or Snowplow 3 and up are welcome to attend! This means skaters have already passed either Basic 1 or Snowplow 2 prior to registration. If you've never taken class with us before and are interested in participating in camp, contact us for next steps!

Aspire Skate Camp: Skaters in Basic 4 through Aspire 3 are welcome to attend! Skaters must also have an Aspire Membership or GEFSC Intro or Full Membership for the 2026-27 season (begins July 1st) to participate in Aspire Camp. If you're ready to take the next step in your skating, Aspire is for you!

Program Overview:

Skate Camp is designed to help skaters grow in their skating knowledge and abilities. Instructors will lead skaters in on-ice classes focused on skills in their level, plus improving their overall skating through things like power, speed, & coordination. Skaters will also take part in off-ice classes like off-ice skills practice, stretching, conditioning, and yoga. We'll also spend time learning more about skating and doing some fun skating-themed activities together! A detailed daily schedule of classes will be released prior to the start of camp. Skaters will have supervision throughout the camp day, including between classes (while taking skates on and off).

Your camp fees include all classes and practice sessions that are part of the camp schedule. Camp fees do not include lunch/snacks/drinks, private lessons during camp practice sessions, or any extra sessions you may choose to skate before or after camp.

Early Registration Rate: $140 per skater (Deadline: June 6th)

Multiple Skater Discount: $120 for 2nd+ skater in the same family (Deadline: June 6th)

FAQs:

• All skaters must have a current membership to participate. A new membership year begins July 1st - Be sure to renew your membership prior to the start of skate camp! Membership renewal information will be available in May. Basic Skills Camp requires a Learn to Skate Membership or higher. Aspire Camp requires an Aspire membership or higher.

• Lunch time is not included in the camp schedule since it is a half-day camp. Please feel free to send your skaters with water and snacks for between classes!

• Skaters interested in Aspire Camp who haven't yet achieved the Basic 4 level requirement are encouraged to sign up for Basic Skills Camp. Please reach out to Grace about switching to Aspire Camp upon passing into Basic 4.

• Aspire skaters who have already passed Skating Skills tests are welcome to participate in Aspire Camp in addition to the summer offerings for skaters who have passed their Pre-Preliminary test!

• Partial refunds are not available if you miss camp days.

• If you would like to pay for camp with GEFSC Club Credit, please contact Grace for a discount code prior to registration.
