About
We're back and so excited to see you all again!
UPDATE REGARDING UPCOMING LEARN TO SKATE SESSION: To allow more skaters to participate in our upcoming learn to skate session, GEFSC has decided to postpone our new session one week. Our new start date will be September 22nd. We're looking forward to seeing all of you and hope this delay has not caused you any inconvenience.
This session has been modified for the safety of all participants, family members and coaching staff. We are offering the Basic 2 through pre-freeskate classes for this session due to our no contact teaching style. Skaters at the Basic 2 level should be able to accomplish the basic skating skills required to learn cognatively through either visual or verbal learning techniques. We have also made this class one hour as opposed to the 45 minute class time we offered previously. This will ensure that we will be able to stagger our small groups getting on and off of the ice in a manner that upholds social distancing protocol.
The following list of procedures will also apply to each participant registering in this session:
- All skaters and coaches will be required to wear a mask at all times.
- Each skater will be allowed one parent/chaperone to accompany them to class. Parent/chaperones may view class from the bleachers only.
- All participants must sign a waiver and have their temperature checked at the door prior to getting skates on.
- The discount option only applies to those who have filled out an application for the 2020-2021 season to be a learn to skate or full club member. All memberships through GEFSC, Learn to skate USA and USFSA expire on July 1st of every year.
If you have any questions, please contact our Learn to Skate Director at learntoskate@gefsc.com.

This class is targeted towards skaters who are working towards the goal of landing their axel and joint the axel club! We will be working on drills, exercises and jumping techniques to ultimately achieve landing their axel type jump! Skaters must be full club members to participate in this class.
