RCIT Production Team

River City Ice Theatre is pleased to announce that we will be having a production team compete at the upcoming National Showcase Competition this year! The event will be taking place from July 28-August 2, 2025 in Rochester, Michigan. If you are interested in participating, I have outlined the general information below:

Team Info & Level Requirement:

We are going to have a blast this production season! Our theme this year is going to be “Wonka”!!! If you have not participated in a production team before, we are able to have 30 members on the team. This year U.S. Figure Skating has made it a requirement that all team members be passed a Preliminary level in at least one of the following disciplines: Skating Skills (MIF), Singles Skating (FS), Solo Pattern Dance (at least one dance). You do not have to qualify for National Showcase individually to participate in a production ensemble. (This rule is different for all other elective, individual, duet and trio events.)

Cost:

The price point estimation is based on a minimum of 15 skaters currently. A deposit will be required upon registration. We will be invoicing all production members accordingly once we have the official roster completed. It will be a split cost but is looking to be below $485 for the following expenses: 

• Ice Time 

• Coaching Fee

• Team Entry Fee

• Individual Entry Fee

• Competition Practice Ice

• Costume/Set Fee

  
  

Deposit amount will be $150 upon registration for the production team and can be completed on the GEFSC website.  Club credit will not be accepted for this deposit fee currently. I have attached the production team registration link below:

*estimated price point above does not include extra makeup, photos, videos, set storage or coaches competition expenses (this will be billed back to all participants once more information has been made available).

Practices:

We have a few breaks built in so please do not worry if you will miss some practices.  We will send out an attendance form once the team is assembled to make sure we arrange the practices with as many members present as possible.  We understand there are camps and vacations in the works so please reach out if you want to participate but have concerns about attendance. Here are the tentative practice dates/times:

-April: 21, 28

-May: 5, 12

-June: 2, 9, 16, 23

-July: 19, 20 

An official calendar will be sent once we have the team assembled.
