8 Week July Learn to Skate Session

We will be kicking off our first session of the 2021-2022 skating season!  This session we have included the seasonal membership fee since we will be having to renew all existing and new members.  If you have already renewed your GEFSC membership for the 2021-2022 season, please select the club member option (you will be listing the level you will be enrolling in during the registration section.)  

Class Levels:

Snowplow (Ages 3-5): It's all about fun!  Get your skater on the ice by introducing them to the basics.  Our snowplow levels (1-4) get them moving by allowing them to feel comfortable on the ice.

Basic Skills (Age 6+): Our basic skills classes get your skater comfortable with moving across the ice!  Upon completing the 6 levels your skater will master skills necessary to succeed in hockey or figure skating!

Get more involved: Find out more about the Greater Evansville Figure Skating Club and how to join us! We offer private lessons for those interested in excelling faster, mastering difficult skills, or want to compete in the sport of figure skating!

This session has been modified for the safety of all participants, family members and coaching staff.  We are offering the Snowplow 1-4 & Basic 1 through pre-freeskate/freeskate classes for this session.  Skaters at these beginner levels should be able to accomplish the basic skating skills required to learn cognatively through either visual or verbal learning techniques.  If your skater is below the basic 2 level and is interested in participating in this session of classes, please contact our director at learntoskate@gefsc.com for more information regarding eligibility for classes during this modified time period in response to Covid-19..

• Parent/chaperones may view class from the bleachers only.  Parents will not be permitted to sit in the players boxes.
• All participants must sign a waiver and have their temperature checked at the door prior to getting skates on.
• The discount option only applies to those who have filled out an application for the 2021-2022 season to be a learn to skate or full club member.  All memberships through GEFSC, Learn to skate USA and USFSA expire on July 1st of every year.
