Coaches

Catherine Niemeier is currently working through her PSA ratings and serves as the GEFSC Learn to Skate Director. She has been coaching since 2004. She has passed her PSA Basic Accreditation written exam. She is a USFS Category “A” and SafeSport Compliant Coach. She has passed USFS gold in Moves in the Field, Junior Pairs, and Novice Freeskate. She has competed at the national and international level in Pairs. She coaches Freestyle, Choreography, Group class, Moves in the Field, and Power. Catherine earned her bachelor of social work from USI.

Grace Myer has passed USFS Junior Moves in the Field and Intermediate Freeskate. She has competed at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Competition and the National Theatre on Ice Competition. Grace is a USFS Category “A” Compliant Coach and a member of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA). She has been teaching group lessons since 2008 and has coached private lessons since 2013. Brianna Linenburg has been coaching competitively representing GEFSC since 2011 and has been a Learn to Skate instructor since 2009. She has passed her gold in Moves in the Field, Silver in Ice Dancing, and Novice Freeskate.  She has competed at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Qualifying Competition, National Theatre on Ice, and the Indiana State Competition. Brianna is a USFS Category “A” Compliant Coach.  She has passed her PSA Basic Accreditation written exam, and is currently working through her PSA ratings. Dana Tang has achieved USFS Gold in Dance and Moves in the Field, and Junior Freestyle. She has competed at the Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships and National Theatre on Ice. She is a USFS Category “B” and SafeSport Compliant Coach. She has passed the PSA Basic Accreditation written exam, and is currently working through her PSA ratings. Dana has performed in many Swonder Ice shows and starred multiple times in Louisville Skating Academy’s Nutcracker on Ice. She has been coaching group lessons since 2008 and has coached private lessons since 2013. Dana has a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in web development, with honors, from the University of Southern Indiana (USI). She is working on her Masters in Business Admin with emphasis in Data Analytics. Dana coaches group, basic skills, freestyle, ice dance, and moves in the field. Email: dana.g.k.tang@gmail.com

Christin Thompson  has been teaching group since 2006 and private instruction since 2008. She is certified as completing the skating director courses at the North American Rink Conference in 2012. She has passed her U.S. Figure Skating Novice Moves in the Field test as well as her Novice Free Skate test. She graduated with a degree in Health Services with a concentration in Administration from USI.

Aeriel De Jesus has passed Novice Moves in the Field as well as her Intermediate Free skate test. She has competed at eastern Great Lakes regionals, National Theatre on Ice, and National Showcase. She is a CER “B” compliant coach. She currently attends the University of Evansville, majoring in Exercise Science Pre-Professional and will be in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program starting summer 2018. She will be obtaining her CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) certification after undergraduate studies.  She coaches competitive figure skating, Moves in the Field, and off-ice conditioning.
